Uses of This Medicine
Olsalazine is used in patients who have had ulcerative colitis to prevent the condition from occurring again. It works inside the bowel by helping to reduce inflammation and other symptoms of the disease.
Olsalazine is available only with your doctor’s prescription.
Once a medicine has been approved for marketing for a certain use, experience may show that it is also useful for other medical problems. Although this use is not included in product labeling, olsalazine may be used in certain patients to treat mild or moderate ulcerative colitis.

How To Use
Capsule
Your doctor will tell you how much to take and how often.
Take olsalazine with food.
Take this medicine for as long as your has told you to, even if your symptoms are gone after a few days.
If a dose is missed:
Take the medicine as soon as you remember that you missed a dose.
If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take your medicine at your usual time.
You should not use two doses at the same time.
