Uses of This Medicine
Naftifine topical is used to treat infections caused by a fungus or yeast. It works by killing the fungus or preventing its growth.
Naftifine is used to treat:
Athlete’s foot (tinea pedis; ringworm of the foot);
Jock itch (tinea cruris; ringworm of the groin); and
Ringworm of the body (tinea corporis).
This medicine is available with your doctor’s prescription.

How To Use
Cream, Gel/Jelly
Your doctor will tell you how much medicine to use. Do not use more than directed.
This medicine is for use on the skin only. Do not get it in your eyes, nose, mouth, or vagina. Do not use it on skin areas that have cuts or scrapes. Rinse the medicine off right away if it gets on these areas.
Wash your hands with soap and water before and after you use this medicine.
Apply a thin layer of the medicine to the affected area. Rub it in gently.
Do not cover the treated area with a bandage unless directed by your doctor.
Take all of the medicine in your prescription to clear up your infection, even if you feel better after the first few doses.
If a dose is missed:
Apply a dose as soon as you can. If it is almost time for your next dose, wait until then and apply a regular dose. Do not apply extra medicine to make up for a missed dose.
How to Store and Dispose of This Medicine:
Store the medicine in a closed container at room temperature, away from heat, moisture, and direct light.
Ask your pharmacist or doctor how to dispose of the medicine container and any leftover or expired medicine.
Keep all medicine out of the reach of children. Never share your medicine with anyone.

Ask your doctor or pharmacist before using any other medicine, including over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal products.
Do not put cosmetics or skin care products on the treated skin.

Do not use this medicine if you have had an allergic reaction to naftifine.

Make sure your doctor knows if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have any infections or skin problems.
Do not use this medicine to treat a skin problem your doctor has not examined.
Stop using this medicine and contact your doctor right away if you have a skin rash, itchiness, burning, stinging, swelling, or irritation after using this medicine.
Call your doctor if your symptoms do not improve or if they get worse.
