What’s the single best skin cleanser to fight acne?

    by Cynthia Bailey M.D. April 19, 2019

Get rid of back acne and more with these dermatologist’s tips

What’s the single best skin cleanser to fight acne? Benzoyl peroxide cleansers. Benzoyl peroxide is a time-honored acne treatment ingredient that kills the acne causing germ P. acnes (now called C. acnes).

Try foaming benzoyl peroxide acne treatment cleanser to help get rid of acne!Fight back acne and win!

It’s affordable, easy to use in a cleanser form, and works extremely well. It is also more effective than all prescription-antibiotic medicines at killing the C. acnes. This is because the acne-causing bacteria develops resistance to antibiotics, but not benzoyl peroxide.

Benzoyl peroxide also is a keratolytic, meaning it helps to treat blackheads too.

Watch my latest video to learn about this acne-fighting ingredient, and the acne cleanser that I use in my practice to treat back and chest acne and facial acne. If you were stranded on a deserted island and had just one product to fight your acne, this would be the one to have.
